Free State High senior Erik Czapinksi signed a letter of intent on Wednesday afternoon to play college tennis at Ottawa University.

Czapinksi, a member of the Firebirds’ varsity team, signed during a ceremony in the Free State commons area. One of the team leaders this season, Czapinksi spent most of the Spring playing doubles with teammate Trey Melvin.

Czapinksi and the Firebirds are scheduled to compete at the Sunflower League meet today in Olathe.
