Several area wrestlers received the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association’s Senior Award, which recognizes seniors for their performances in the class room and on the wrestling mat.

Perry-Lecompton seniors Joel Guess (145 pounds) and Kyle Bonham (285) were first-team recipients in Class 3-2-1A. In order to make the first team, wrestlers must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average and recorded more wins than losses in their senior season.

In Class 4A, Baldwin High’s Cael Harris (170), Garrett Borth (285), Griffin Wehrman (152) and TJ Hopper (132) were named to the first team.
