Seabury’s Nelson breaks own school cross country record

Bishop Seabury sophomore Henry Nelson broke his own school record and placed runner-up at the Wellsville cross country Invitational on Thursday.

Nelson completed the 5k run in 16:57, smashing his old record by 11 seconds. Seabury’s boys cross country team finished 10th among 13 teams.

Sophomore Sami Dennon led Seabury’s girls runners with a personal-record time of 22:18, breaking her old mark by 21 seconds. The Seahawks’ girls team finished sixth out of nine teams.

Seabury will compete in the Tonganoxie Invitational on Tuesday.
