Kelsie Payne receives Big 12 offensive player of the week honors

For the second straight week, a Kansas volleyball player was named the Big 12’s offensive player of the week, announced Monday.

KU senior right side hitter Kelsie Payne earned the honor after averaging 4.8 kills per set in the Wolverine Invitational last weekend in Orem, Utah with a .389 hitting percentage. Payne, who took home MVP honors, has led the Jayhawks to a 7-0 record and No. 7 ranking in the country.

The Jayhawks will play host to Belmont and Purdue on Friday at Horejsi Center.
