Baldwin, Eudora athletes receive all-Frontier League honors

Several Baldwin High and Eudora High athletes were honored on all-Frontier League teams, which were announced Wednesday.

In softball, Baldwin sophomore outfielders Audrey Flowers, Sieana Hall and McKinley Markley, along with Eudora senior infielder Jordan Flakus, were named first-team all-league.

Baldwin senior Amayah LaTessa (catcher), senior Betsy Parmeley (infielder) and freshman Rian Geere (infielder), and Eudora junior Devin Purcell (outfielder), sophomore Kyla Etter (pitcher) and senior Jasmine Thevarajoo (outfield) were softball second-team all-league selections. Baldwin’s Kinley Burton (pitcher) and Kellee Wiggins (infielder), and Eudora’s Lydia Brown (infielder) all picked up an honorable mention.

Among baseball players, Baldwin seniors Josh Craig (outfield) and Adam Carlson (infield) were selected first-team all-league. Eudora junior outfielders Khalil Thrasher and Peyton Garvin earned second team honors.

Eudora’s Garvin (pitcher), David Hornberger (infield), Monti Enrique (outfield) and Caleb Ostronic (catcher), along with Baldwin’s Garrett Borth (catcher) and Connor Quick (pitcher), were given an honorable mention.

In girls soccer, Baldwin senior Taylor Cawley and freshman Josie Boyle earned first-team all-league honors. Freshman Anna Burnett and sophomore Caitlyn Countryman were placed on the second team, while seniors Calyn Johnson and Riley O’Rourke received honorable mentions.

A previous version of this article incorrectly left out Eudora sophomore Kyla Etter and senior Jasmine Thevarjoo from the all-Frontier League softball team. Both of them received second-team recognition.
