Lawrence’s Michael Sinks earns juco all-american honors
Former Lawrence High baseball standout Michael Sinks was named a first-team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association, announced Monday.
Sinks was selected to the all-american team as a designated hitter. In his sophomore season at Barton Community College, he hit .431 out of the leadoff spot with a .507 on-base percentage. He set a single-season school record with 100 hits, and broke career record with 184 hits and 37 doubles.
Sinks will continue his college baseball career at Central Missouri.
