Letter to the editor: Cleanup congrats

To the editor:

Edgehill Road is far more pleasant and void of trash, thanks to the work of the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, led by their president, Michael Matz.

The men of Sigma Phi Epsilon walk the talk of the greek community in carrying out public service, given they’ve agreed to personally clean up the trash on Edgehill Road weekly. They agreed and committed to this task at the conclusion of fall semester 2014 and have been good on their word. As a result of Sigma Phi Epsilon’s work and effort, Edgehill Road is no longer cluttered with all manner of garbage.

Sitting down, phoning, emailing, texting, etc. is all one has to do to communicate with an organized living group to create the proverbial “win-win” solution.

When the cleanup project began, some folks in town doubted the trash pickup would last. Well, it has.

The men of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity have more than earned a pat on the back for honoring their word, passing the community service from one internal governing body to the next, and they have more than done their level best to be great neighbors.

A big thank you to Mr. Matz and the men he leads at Sigma Phi Epsilon. I have no reason to doubt Edgehill Road will continue to be monitored by this great group of men.
