Letter to the editor: A new election

To the editor:

In an act of great honesty and courage, the person sworn in as U.S. president on Jan. 20 has revealed 3 million to 5 million illegal votes cast in the last election. Such massive electoral fraud naturally invalidates not only his election but that of the vice president and all members of Congress involved.

Those of us whose academic specialty is the study of Third World conditions and practice are sadly familiar with such fraudulent events. The only solution is as usual to hold new election, with official observers from neighboring nations and/or the United Nations.
