KU to host 9/11 commemoration ceremony

For the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the University of Kansas is hosting a commemoration ceremony on Sunday.

The service will begin at 8 p.m. at the Campanile Plaza, 1450 Memorial Drive, the university said in a news release. There, a flag presentation will be conducted by ROTC students and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical Chief Mark Bradford will offer a few words.

In addition, there will be a candle-lighting ceremony and the campanile bells will toll.
