Incoming severe weather inspired the city’s high school athletics departments to postpone Monday evening sporting events, including a pair of City Showdowns.

Lawrence High and Free State High’s baseball teams will now face off at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at FSHS.

The softball teams from LHS and FSHS will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday on Lawrence’s campus.

Free State High’s girls soccer team will take on Olathe East at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at FSHS.
