Former Eudora High linebacker Boomer Mays was invited to the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp on Thursday, according to a tweet from Northern Illinois coach Rod Carey.

Mays, who went undrafted, was a three-year starter at Northern Illinois and earned first-team All-MAC honors last season with 114 tackles, including 73 solo tackles.

The Chiefs rookie minicamp begins Saturday and ends Monday.
