Eastbound traffic backed up on Interstate 70 after Baskin-Robbins semi catches fire during evening commute

Traffic was backed up Wednesday afternoon along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70, east of Lawrence, for a Baskin Robbins semi on fire.

The Kansas Turnpike Authority reported the incident on social media at 4:40 p.m. The semi was located at mile marker 205.5, according to the KTA.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire. No one was injured in the incident.
