Man arrested after several people threatened with knife in Haskell dorm

A man was being held without bond in the Douglas County Jail Sunday night after allegedly threatening several people with a knife in a Haskell Indian Nations University residence hall.

Theisman Tresell Tsosie, 23, of Lawrence, was arrested around 5 p.m. Sunday on suspicion of four counts of aggravated assault, said Sgt. Ted Bordman with the Lawrence Police Department.

Bordman said an “actual battery” did not occur, and no one was injured, but several people were threatened with a knife in a room of Blalock Hall on Haskell’s campus.

Tsosie has no criminal history listed in public Douglas County Court Records or in the Kansas Department of Corrections.
