Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Douglas County expires

The National Weather Service in Topeka has allowed a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Douglas County to expire at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Around 3 p.m., a storm was located near Clinton Lake and moving northeast, according to the weather service. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued because of the possibility for quarter size hail and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
