Robert Fairchild reappointed as Douglas County District Court’s chief judge
Kansas Chief Justice Lawton Nuss on Thursday reappointed Douglas County District Court Judge Robert Fairchild as the district’s chief judge, the Kansas Office of Judicial Administration said in a news release.

A Douglas County District Court judge since 1996, Fairchild has served as the district’s chief judge since 2002. His upcoming term will run from Feb. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2017.
In addition to his judicial responsibilities as a district court judge, as chief judge Fairchild holds general supervisory authority over the court’s administrative and clerical functions.
