Overland Park ? Free State High’s volleyball team swept the Shawnee Mission South triangular on Thursday with victories over SM South (20-25, 25-22, 25-18) and Olathe North (25-19, 25-21).

Payton Gannaway led the Firebirds with 13 kills, while Naomi Hickman added 11 kills and five blocks. Defensively, Erin Friedrichsen had a team-best 17 digs, and Emma Barberena added 14 digs.

The Firebirds (10-7) will compete in the Topeka Seaman Invitational on Saturday.
