Man killed in single-vehicle accident on Stull Road identified

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man killed Friday in a single-vehicle accident on Stull Road.

Sgt. Kristen Dymacek, a spokeswoman for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, said Dallas Burton, 65, of Overbrook, was driving a pickup truck westbound in the 300 block of Stull Road, or County Road 442, around 11:30 a.m. Friday when the accident occurred.

Burton drifted across the east lane and hit a driveway culvert, Capt. Steve Bucholz told the Journal-World Friday. His truck traveled down an embankment and rolled. Bucholz said Friday the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Burton was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, Bucholz said.
