Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is having a charity Zumbathon benefiting Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center.

The fitness dance fundraiser will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St.

Zumba is a dance fitness program that features interval and resistance training for a full-body, rhythmic workout.

Participants will be instructed by certified Zumba instructors for this charity and include the following Parks and Recreation fitness instructors: Amy Ash, Anna Oliver, Pat Middaugh and Mary Davidson. Cost is $10 per person and pre-registration is required.

Registration is available online or at any LPRD facility, including: the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive; Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St.; Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane or the Administrative Offices in South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St.
