S Fish Smithson intercepted a Bram Kohlhausen pass and returned it 20 yards, killing TCU’s series scoring threat on first possession of second half. Had 12 tackles.
LB Marcquis Roberts joined Anthony Olobia in making the stop on fourth-and-1 at the KU 12 late in the first half and finished with 12 tackles and a quarterback hurry.
Gassers
T.J. Semke was flagged for holding on a kickoff return, forcing team to start series from 9-yard line when trailing 10-0 in first quarter.
LG Jacob Bragg committed multiple false-start penalties.
