Kirsten Wondra, principal at Pinckney Elementary, has been named assistant director of curriculum, instruction and assessment for the Lawrence school district, the district announced Thursday.

Wondra has been Pinckney’s principal for two years, the release said. Previously, she worked as an educational consultant with the South Central Education Service Center, offering her expertise to 26 school districts. She taught for seven years in Derby and has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wichita State University.
