Douglas County is inviting the public to review the draft site plan for renovations to the county fairgrounds.

The open house will run from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. May 14 at Building 1 at the fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St. County administration, engineering and architecture teams will be available to answer questions.

The county is hoping to begin $6.5 million of renovations to the grounds this summer. The project includes a new pavilion, public meeting hall, expanded concrete parking, increased handicap accessibility and improved energy efficiency.
