Lawrence Arts Center to celebrate Mozart, Gershwin and others in ‘Too Much, Too Early’

The Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire St., will celebrate musicians who died before their time with “Too Much, Too Early: Composers who left us in their 30s” at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Led by tenor Hugo Vera, the one-night performance will honor work by Henry Purcell, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Peter Schubert, Vincenzo Bellini, Georges Bizet and George Gershwin.

In addition to Vera, the concert will feature Kyle Naig (piano), Julia Broxholm (soprano), Tara Curtis (mezzo soprano), Eric Hessel (horn), Kristin Newbegin (soprano) and John Stephens (bass).

Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and $20 for students. They can be purchased in person at the Arts Center, online at lawrenceartscenter.org or by calling 785-843-2787.
