Heartland recognized by national nonprofit

Heartland Community Health Center has been distinguished as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

The Level 3 designation is the highest level of recognition given by the NCQA. A press release from Heartland said the center underwent a two-year process of transforming its practice to meet those standards.

“We’re excited to have this stamp of approval and recognition from NCQA, but we’re even more excited for what it says about the quality of care we offer to our patients,” Heartland CEO Jon Stewart said in a statement. “This certification essentially says we are focused on treating our patients holistically and in a way that best serves their needs.”

The NCQA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health care quality.
