Over 1000 Lawrence residents reported power outages Friday morning after overnight storms moved through the area, according to Westar Energy’s online outage map.

An area southeast of the intersection of Iowa Street and Clinton Parkway included over 900 affected customers. As of 11 a.m., power had been restored to that area, but nearly 100 customers were still without power at Sixth and Michigan streets. Westar estimated power would be restored to those customers by 3:30 p.m.

Several other areas of the city reported smaller, more isolated outages.
