KU law school names three distinguished alumni

The Kansas University School of Law has named three attorneys as recipients of its Distinguished Alumni Award, the law school’s highest honor.

John W. (Jack) Brand

Nicholas Kittrie

Lawton Nuss

They are John W. (Jack) Brand, a retired Lawrence attorney from the class of 1959; Nicholas Kittrie, an international criminal law expert from the class of 1950; and Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Lawton Nuss, class of 1982, according to KU.

Brand, Kittrie and Nuss are to receive their awards at a private event this weekend.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes law school graduates for their professional achievements, contributions to the legal field and service to their communities and the school.
