Pringle, George elected to lead KU student body next year
Jessie Pringle and Zach George will be the 2015-2016 Kansas University student body president and vice president.
The duo of Pringle and George, of the Advance KU coalition, took 68 percent of the vote during Student Senate elections Wednesday and Thursday on the KU campus, according to a preliminary tally published Thursday by The University Daily Kansan. Election results will be confirmed Monday, the Kansan reported.
During the campaign, Advance KU promoted three platform priorities: access, community and sustainability, according to the coalition’s website.
The Kansan reported that overall voter election turnout was 17 percent, with a total of 3,571 voters.
