Kansas Gov. Brownback to proclaim Zombie Preparedness Month

September 23, 2014

— Kansans are being encouraged to prepare for an invasion of the living dead, with Gov. Sam Brownback scheduled to sign a proclamation later this week declaring October Zombie Preparedness Month.

The state Division of Emergency Management says if residents are prepared for a zombie attack, they're prepared for anything. Deputy director Angee Morgan says the idea is to make people aware of the need to be ready for emergency situations like natural disasters, catastrophic storms, fires — even a swarm of zombies.

Brownback is slated to sign the proclamation at 11 a.m. Friday in his ceremonial office in the Statehouse.

Now that is something important. State revenues tank and property tax and sales tax is still too high. I'm glad our leader could focus his energies on something so important. Maybe he can make an executive order to declare Bigfoot the state primate.

I suppose that's one way to try to hit a younger target audience.

I thought The Guv's rubber stamp went home to run for reelection.

Oh wait, preparedness is so that people will be aware that the zombies are loosed.

Since the program "Walking Dead" is one of the most popular TV series, it is both likely and unfortunate that a "be prepared" story will get a lot more attention if the headline includes the work zombie. And Kansas is not the first state where this approach has been tried.

Zombies. Well our governor should know a lot about that subject.

Ok, not gonna pan the Gov for this one. Pretty funny, took no effort to sign a piece of paper... and really they're right. If you're prepared for a zombie apocalypse then you're prepared for anything.

I'll be holding out at former poster RoeDapple's place.

Sam Cannot focus

Sam Brownback seems like he cannot focus on the issues thus wasting a lot of time making up stories that are not true or having nothing to do with the issues at hand.

Such as:

  1. Sam violating women's rights

  2. Sam's huge tax dollar mismanagement problems

  3. Where are the thousands upon thousands of jobs he promised during the previous campaign?

  4. Why is Sam Brownback representing the libertarian ALEC agenda instead of Kansas?

  5. Why is Sam Brownback wanting to dismantle public education? Public education is the backbone of local economic growth .

Neither WOMEN nor Republicans nor Democrats nor the Upper Middle Class/Middle class can afford the Sam Brownback Libertarian Party!

Do women need more right wing big government in there lives?

Sam Brownback has never be a republican it seems to me. These lifetime Koch libertarians have been backing Brownback since he began his tax dollar mooching career as a politician.

Has Sam Brownback ever had a job?
