Kansas men’s golf takes third

? Kansas University had two individual top-10 finishes and placed third in the team standings of the Wolverine Men’s Golf Intercollegiate on Sunday at the U-M Golf Course.

Kansas’ Connor Peck tied for seventh, and Ben Welle tied for ninth for the Jayhawks. Another KU golfer, Bryce Brown, also tied for ninth, but he was competing as an individual.

Peck finished at 1-under 212, and Welle and Brown were a stroke back. Logan Philley tied for 23rd at 217, Chase Hanna tied for 32nd at 220, and Brock Drogosch tied for 42nd at 222.

Michigan won the team title with 845 strokes and was followed by Penn State (855) and KU (856).

Kansas will travel Sept. 16-17 to the Ram Masters Invitational in Fort Collins, Colorado.
