Vaudeville-inspired ‘Amazing Feats of Loneliness’ comes to Arts Center

Just in time for Halloween, the Lawrence Arts Center, in conjunction with the Card Table Theatre, is slated to stage “Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness” starting Thursday at the Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire St.

“Amazing Feats of Loneliness”, written by Anthony Neilson and directed by Jacqueline Grunau, focuses on Victorian-era showman Edward Gant and his vaudeville troupe in a series of vignettes about “the grotesqueries of the heart and mind.”

The cast includes Will Averill, Erica Fox Zabusky, Chris Roady and Christoph David Cording. The Free State Liberation Orchestra Gypsy Band will provide musical accompaniment.

Performances are set for Oct. 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31, and Nov. 1, 6, 7 and 8, all at 8 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit the Arts Center’s website or call 843-2787.
