Tuesday afternoon power outage affects parts of Lawrence
Nearly 300 customers in Douglas County, including parts of west Lawrence, were without power shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday because of an equipment malfunction, according to Westar Energy.
Crews were dispatched to repair the equipment, and power was gradually restored to all customers. Westar Energy’s website showed no outages as of 5 p.m.
