Despite rain showers throughout the morning and afternoon on Monday, Lawrence accumulated just over a half an inch of rain.

Lawrence collected .56 inches of rain since midnight Monday, according to measurements made by the National Weather Service as of 9 p.m. at Lawrence Memorial Airport.

Personal weather stations in the area recorded slightly higher amounts, including 1.25 inches in Baldwin City, .86 inches in Eudora and .94 inches in De Soto.

The heaviest rain in Lawrence fell between the hours of 7 and 10 a.m.
