An Olathe man had a knife pulled on him inside the parking garage next door to the Allen Fieldhouse Thursday evening.

Sgt. Bob Williams, of Kansas University police, said the suspect, who is known by the victim, did not steal anything from or injure the victim. The suspect eventually fled the garage but was persuaded to return to the scene after a matter of minutes when police contacted him by phone.

The suspect had not been placed under arrest as of Thursday evening, according to Williams. He said police are “following up on a couple other things and then we’re going to determine if we we’re going to make an arrest.”

Williams declined to describe the suspect’s intention when he decided to pull the knife.

Police responded to the call shortly before 6:15 p.m. Williams said the suspect and victim are between the ages of 18 and 20.
