Two men, one a student, arrested on suspicion of rape at KU residence hall

Two 21-year-old men, one a Kansas University student, were arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of rape.

The alleged rapes occurred between 2 and 5 a.m. Sept. 28 in Hashinger Residence Hall, KU Police Department spokesman Capt. James Anguiano said.

Anguiano said that though the alleged rapes occurred on the same morning as the alleged sexual assault at the KU chapter of Kappa Sigma fraternity, 1045 Emery Road, the two are not related.

The two men will make their first court appearance Thursday afternoon. They are being held in the Douglas County Jail without bond.
