Lawrence hosting reception for new director of arts and culture
Lawrence officials are inviting the public to meet the community’s new director of arts and culture.
The city is hosting a public reception for Christina McClelland from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Lied Center Pavilion, 1600 Stewart Drive. McClelland was hired earlier this year to serve in the newly created City Hall position of director of arts and culture. She previously served as the public art coordinator for the city and county of Denver as the public arts coordinator for the city of Urbana, Ill.
McClelland began work at Lawrence City Hall in late September.
