KEEGAN RATINGS

Avery, Sendish stand out in KU’s 37-point loss at OU

Game Balls

In falling 389 yards shy of OU freshman Samaje Perine, freshman Corey Avery led KU with 38 yards on 11 carries and there weren’t many holes for him. He also had two receptions for 32 yards, making him responsible for 70 of KU’s 103 total yards.

Cassius Sendish picked up a fumble and carried it 63 yards for a touchdown.

Gassers

Dexter McDonald, thinking he had been burned for six, pulled on intended receiver and was flagged for pass interference on an overthrow. It helped Oklahoma to get a first-quarter field goal.

On a day completions were tough to come by, Rodriguez Coleman dropped a pass that could have been first down. And first downs were rare. Kansas had just seven.
