KU-KSU kickoff set for 3 p.m. Nov. 29

Kansas running back Tony Pierson is yanked down by the collar by Kansas State defensive end Adam Davis during the first quarter on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan.

The annual Sunflower Showdown football game between Kansas University and Kansas State, set for Nov. 29 in Manhattan, will kick off at 3 p.m., and be televised on FOX Sports 1, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday morning.

For Kansas, the game will mark the 2014 season finale and the final chapter of actual football before the program turns its attention fully to the ongoing coaching search.

KU leads the all-time series with KSU, 65-41-5, including a 28-24-3 mark in games played in Manhattan. However, Kansas has dropped five-straight contests to Kansas State, including the last two games played in Manhattan.

KU’s FS1 appearance will mark the sixth of the season for the Jayhawks on the new network.

This Saturday, the Jayhawks (3-7 overall, 1-6 Big 12) will head to Oklahoma (7-3, 4-3) for an 11 a.m. kickoff with the Sooners.
