Marine Corps to celebrate birthday at Lawrence event
The public is invited to an event celebrating the birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps.
A group of area Marines will host the celebration at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dole Institute of Politics on Kansas University’s West Campus. The event will feature comments by Lawton Nuss, the chief justice of the Kansas Supreme Court and a former member of the Marine Corps.
The event also will feature musical entertainment and refreshments.
