Waterline work affects traffic at 23rd and Alabama streets
A portion of Alabama Street near 23rd Street is closed to motorists during daytime hours, a condition that is expected to persist through at least Wednesday, city officials are reporting.
The section of Alabama Street just north of 23rd Street is closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday because of a waterline project that is taking place in the area. City officials are estimating water line work will disrupt traffic on Alabama Street through Wednesday.
Traffic will be allowed to access Alabama Street during evening and overnight hours.
