According to the jail booking log, two men were arrested in the 4200 block of West 27th Street at 4:05 p.m. Karl Robert Carter, 40, was arrested on suspicion of attempting to elude an officer, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, reckless driving and having an open container. Given the recent attention being paid to gun crime I am surprised at the relatively low bail amounts for felons accused of being in possession of a firearm.
