Three KC men arrested on suspicion of drug, gun offenses, fleeing police

Three Kansas City, Mo., men were booked into Douglas County Jail between Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning on suspicion of multiple gun and drug crimes in addition to attempting to elude police.

Just before 4 p.m. Friday a vehicle fled police near 27th Street and Inverness Road, leading police to pursue the vehicle, said police spokeswoman Kim Murphree. Later Friday, Murphree said police had two people in custody and were looking for a third man.

According to the jail booking log, two men were arrested in the 4200 block of West 27th Street at 4:05 p.m. Karl Robert Carter, 40, was arrested on suspicion of attempting to elude an officer, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, reckless driving and having an open container. He is in jail on a $2,600 bond. Martin Sha Mollohan, 36, was arrested on suspicion of criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, distribution of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies. Mollohan is in jail with bond set at $10,500.

Lorenzo Dwayne Black was arrested after midnight in the 4100 block of Blackjack and booked on suspicion of felony interference with law enforcement, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and having an open container. Black is in jail on a $3,100 bond.
