Cindy Hensley McCain to speak at Dole Institute

Cindy Hensley McCain, chair of Hensley & Company and wife of senator and former presidential candidate John McCain, will speak at the Dole Institute of Politics next week.

McCain’s talk will focus largely on leadership and volunteerism, though she will also share stories from the presidential campaign trail, according to a Kansas University news release.

Along with chairing Hensley & Company, a family company that is the largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in the country, McCain founded the American Voluntary Medical Team, which provides emergency medical care to impoverished children around the world.

Among other service appointments, McCain sits on the board of trustees for HALO Trust, an organization dedicated to removing land mines and other weapons from former war zones, and serves as co-chairwoman for the Arizona governor’s task force on human trafficking.

McCain will speak at the Dole Institute at 7:30 p.m. March 25. The event is free and open to the public.
