Benefit Saturday for Eudora sixth-grader diagnosed with cancer

A benefit will be held Saturday for a Eudora Middle School student who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

The fundraiser is for sixth-grader Carolyn Hoover, to raise money for her medical expenses but also to boost her spirits by reminding her that “No One Fights Alone” — the name of the event. She was diagnosed with stage 3 T-cell lymphoma in January.

The benefit is 5-9 p.m. at the Eudora Recreational Center, 1630 Elm St., and will feature food and beverages, music, dancing, a bounce house, face-painting and a show by Eudora Police and Fire.

For more information, contact event organizer Aaron Thakker at 785-304-3904. If you can’t attend and would like to donate, checks can be made out to Ben or Heidi Hoover and mailed in care of Barb Tuttle, P.O. Box 584, Eudora, KS 66025.
