Ottawa ? A judge has ordered a 28-year-old Kansas man to stand trial in the deaths of three adults and an 18-month-old child.

Franklin County Judge Thomas Sachse ordered Kyle Flack to stand trial on charges of capital murder, first-degree murder and a weapons violation in the deaths. Flack’s attorney, Ron Evans, declined to comment.

Franklin County coroner Erik Mitchell testified that all four people Flack is accused of killing died of shotgun blasts. “This is a homicide,” he said.

Mitchell also testified that Andrew Stout suffered at least five gunshot wounds. Kaylie Bailey died from a gunshot to the head and neck. Her daughter, Lana-Leigh, died from a shot to the back. Steven White was shot in the chest, then the head, Mitchell said.

Investigators testified Tuesday that the decomposing bodies of Stout, White and Kaylie Bailey were discovered last spring at Stout’s Ottawa farm. The body of Lana-Leigh was found several days later.
