The Lawrence Police Department has identified the dead man found Saturday along the south bank of the Kansas River.

There are no signs of foul play associated with the death of Troy A. Straub, 44, of Lawrence, according to a news release from the department. A formal report from the Coroner’s Office was still pending Monday afternoon.

Straub’s body was discovered shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday by volunteers participating in a neighborhood cleanup.
