A Topeka man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery Sunday morning after a fight at a Lawrence nightclub in which one man was struck in the head with a beer bottle.

Officers with the Lawrence Police Department responded to reports of a fight inside Cadillac Ranch, 2515 W. 6th St., around 1 a.m. Sunday. Two men were talking when one became angry and punched the other several times, said Sgt. Trent McKinley, LPD spokesman. The suspect then broke a beer bottle on the victim’s head before the fight was broken up.

Journal-World news partner Operation 100 News reported that an ambulance was requested for the victim, who was in stable condition but bleeding from the head.

Officers located the suspect as he was preparing to board a party bus, McKinley said.

Topeka resident William Franco Garcia, 36, was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail on one count of battery and one count of aggravated battery.

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never underestimate your opponent. Expect the unexpected. Two, take it outside. Never start anything inside the bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice. - Jack Dalton.

Indeed, an intellectual, philosophical, zen, martial arts master who works as a bouncer and cleans up bars that are on the way out. He would have a reality show today.

Getting on a party bus at age 36? Might be time to learn about being "an adult".

I see nothing wrong with the party bus. It is a good thing to relax, have fun, forget the woes of the day, it renews you for the times ahead. This is true for those of all ages.

BTY I am thinking that a party bus is hired by a group of people who then invite others to come aboard. If he had not been invited and was on a list he would not have been allowed on.
