KU law school in top 25 percent among schools with top firm placement

The Kansas University School of Law ranked 50th on a National Law Journal list of law schools whose graduates end up at top firms, the university announced Monday.

The KU law school was in the top 25 percent among schools sending graduates to the largest 250 law firms in 2013. Among public schools, KU ranked 17th on the list.

KU ranked even higher for its number of alumni who have been promoted to partner at the largest firms. On that count, KU ranked 20th among all U.S. law schools and sixth among public schools.

The results are based on surveys of the law firms.
