Letter: Veterans’ care

To the editor:

Veterans who risked their lives for us should not be on a waiting list. If the hospitals that were assigned to them cannot serve them, other hospitals should serve them at NO cost too.  A federal law should not have to be made to do this. It’s just common sense, God’s law and humanitarian to help another in need. The government does not have any common sense or do anything humanitarian unless it’s for another country, unfortunately.

Empty schools, fire stations and churches can be homes for the homeless veterans too while state social services can help them find jobs to pay for the utilities for these “free” buildings. As they get jobs, they can help pay for the utilities, and the United Way can help too.
