A 23-year-old Lawrence man was charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana and intending to distribute methamphetamine and cathinone, a stimulant known as “bath salts” in its synthetic form.

Legal intern Joel Cochran read Jacob Christopher Hunt his formal charges Wednesday of two counts of intent to distribute and one count of possession of controlled substances. Hunt is being held in the Douglas County Jail on a $60,000 bond.

Hunt’s next court appearance will be July 31.
