The large brush fire that reached Kansas Highway 10, between Lawrence and Eudora, is largely under control, according to Douglas County dispatchers.

Further details of the fire have yet to emerge. But as of 9:30 p.m., dispatchers were able to confirm the flames were under control, although another fire restarted along the 1900 block of N. 1500 road.

Several fire departments responded to the flames.

Can you please tell us where the fire is located? That would be useful to those of us who may need to drive down K10 or 15th street etc....

It's farther away than East Hills. You can get to East Hills from both 15th and k-10. I don't know beyond that.

I've experienced a few tornadoes, and they don't scare me at all.
I've experienced a few earthquakes, and they don't scare me at all.

But fires? And rattlesnakes? I'm outta there, and dragging anyone I can with me!
I hope everyone is safe tonight.
