Free State High senior Reid Buckingham has committed to play football as a long snapper at Emporia State next year.

Buckingham met with Hornets head coach Garin Higgins on Thursday night and will sign on signing day, Feb. 5.

Buckingham also was the starting center for the Firebirds during a 9-2 season in 2013.
