Lawrence police have identified a 52-year-old man found dead inside his home while continuing their search for a missing woman who lived with him.

On Sunday evening, Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman, identified Friday’s homicide victim as Lawrence resident Harold M. Sasko, who owns a CiCi’s Pizza franchise in Topeka. Police discovered Sasko’s body late Friday when they visited his home in the 2900 block of W. 26th St. Police went to the home in search of 19-year-old Sarah Brooke Gonzales McLinn after her family reported her missing for several days.

McLinn’s whereabouts were still unknown Sunday night, McKinley said, adding that police were not sure whether to treat her as a victim or a suspect. In addition to McLinn’s disappearance is Sasko’s missing vehicle, a dark gray or blue 2008 Nissan Altima four-door with a Kansas “In God We Trust” license plate number AK149, which police are also seeking.

Both McLinn and Sasko were residents of the house, McKinley said. He added that police have an idea about how Sasko died but would not release it Sunday night. An autopsy was completed Saturday evening, he said.

No suspects have been found in the case.

“We are saddened to learn of the death of franchisee Hal Sasko,” said Geoff Goodman, vice president of operations for CiCi’s, in a statement Sunday evening. “CiCi’s Pizza is working with authorities and local management to ensure that our team members’ emotional needs are being met as they continue to serve the local community.”
